Fabric Media can offer development in the following languages:
HTML, CSS, XML, XSL, PHP, MySQL, ASP, JavaScript, Actionscript, C/C++, C#.
Your web site
You would like to get thing moving and could do with some expert assistance to ensure the web site is what you want.
The following guide is set out to draw your attention to some of the components you might need to make the most of your web site. Some questions you may like to ask yourself include:
What is the target audience, what will they expect and how can i impress them?
How often will I need to change the content and who will be inputting the content?
What's the maximum I could afford to spend on the development of the site (remember that ideas often form during and after the development, so set aside some budget for modifications).
Static pages
Web pages can be uncomplicated and fit to a small budget. They can also provide everything you may need for both the user and the robots (ie. search engines). By choosing to have a static HTML site you will gain in having quick loading pages.
You might like to consider having some of the content written for you or having photos taken of you products, or some logo design.
Content Management System
If you want an uncomplicated method of updating the content of the web site, you would want to consider a Content Management System (CMS). This would allow you access to change any bit of text, links, pictures, audio clips etc without needing to know about web development software and HTML coding.
You would have access to the back end of the web site from a standard internet browser, allowing you to change the content easily and from anywhere that has a standard computer with an internet connection.
A word-like editor can be added in to the CMS to make the formatting even more intuitive.
Dynamic Pages
If you require a more frequent updates such as news bulletins, calendars, blogs, email-outs or user inputted content such as guest books, event postings or adverts, you would want to consider a more dynamic web site.
Fabric Media offers a wide range of pre-made scripts that can placed into your web site as well as being able to customise the functionality to meet your specific needs or creating personalised software that would make you stand out from the rest.
Examples will be visible here very soon. Alternatively please feel free to discuss your ideas with me here.
Flash animation
